Upcoming Events
Pacific Logging Congress – September 13-15, 2018 The Live In-Woods Show will be held at the OSU Research Forest in Corvallis. OWIT will be helping with the conference and staff a booth. Get more info about this event.
SAFsquatch 10K & 5K Evening Trail Run – September 21st The Oregon Society of American Foresters will host its first annual evening trail run, the SAFsquatch Scurry. Run with a forester on a 5k or 10k race, both starting and ending in Peavy Arboretum. Funds raised will benefit the Oregon Society of American Foresters. OWIT will staff a booth at the event. Legislative Day at the Capitol – September 24th OWIT will visit the Oregon State Capitol, in Salem, during Legislative Days to inform legislators about issues that are most important to our membership. We will also share information about National Forest Products week, which is during the third week of October, to help focus attention on the importance of our forests and forest products to the Nation’s economy and welfare. OWIT Annual Meeting – October 20, 2018
White Buffalo Wine Bar & Bistro, 4040 Westcliff Drive in Hood River OR 97031. The cost for the meeting is $25 per person and includes breakfast. All are welcome to attend. The meeting is not exclusive to membership.
OWIT has a block of rooms reserved October 19th & 20th at the Riverview Lodge, 1505 Oak Street, Hood River OR 97031. Call 541-386-8719 and say you are with Oregon Women in Timber. Specify if you are staying one or two nights. The rate is $120 per night for a double queen room. The block is only available until September 10th and a 7 day cancellation notice is required to avoid charges.
Join us Friday night, October 19th for a Meet and Greet at the Lodge, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM. OWIT will provide pizza and beverages.

Membership Dues
It’s time to renew membership dues. OWIT’s membership year is from July 1st to June 30th. Membership dues are $30 per year. Renewal reminders will be mailed out this week.
