Talk About Trees forest education program and Oregon Women in Timber, we want to say thank you for another successful Talk About Tree Annual Auction in 2018.
The event was a great success, bringing in over $123,000 which is dedicated to Talk About Trees, our statewide forest education program for pre-kindergarten through 8thgrade students. Since 1991, we have reached over 3 Million Students! The auction clearly plays an important role in Oregon Women in Timber’s ability to keep Talk About Trees growing!
The auction gave us an opportunity to honor OWIT’s founding member Jane Newton and supporter of OWIT and Talk About Trees, Ken Wienke, past Oregon Logging Conference President. Jane’s husband, Mike Newton and daughter Linda Hanratty were present that evening and our bidders paid tribute to both with their generous purchases. We appreciate everyone’s support. A huge thank you goes out to Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers, who always do an awesome job managing the live auction, the NW Ford Dealers Advertising Association and the Oregon Logging Conference. Check out the OWIT website for a full list of all of our awesome donors!
